Become a Wembley superfan, see England internationals for free

They say that a fan of England is a fan of Wembley. Well, they don’t say that. But they should. Wembley Stadium is the home of English football, and while its prestige is arguably dampened by hosting certain events (singling out none in particular, rugby) a visit to the national stadium still sends a shiver up the spine. If it doesn’t, you go there too often.

But you’re not going there as often as you might be if you enter and win a competition to be crowned Wembley’s Superfan. The winner will be able to attend the year’s biggest events and enjoy VIP access that even I can only dream of. Notwithstanding the fact that last year’s winner met Martin Offiah (with whom I used to play football) and Geoff Hurst (who I worked with once) that’s a pretty spectacular prize. I’ve never met Paul Gascoigne, for a start.

Of course we don’t yet know which stars will greet the VIP winner this year, but that’s all the more reason to find out. To do so, visit facebook.com/wembleystadium and enter the Superfan competition by describing in a tweet-sized bite why you’d be the perfect fan to enjoy the pleasures of a year as the Superfan.

After the five best have been shortlisted, the winner will be voted for by visitors to absoluteradio.com. The closing date for entries is February 16th, and if any TSC readers win I demand photographs. Good luck!
