Tom Bennett at The Youth Radar reported late last week that England manager Roy Hodgson has added some clarity to any questions relating to the Under-21s’ selection conundrum for this summer’s UEFA Euro 2013 tournament in Israel: players deemed to be established senior team players will not be eligible for the competition.

Stuart Pearce doesn’t have a great deal of time to prepare his England Under-21s side for their UEFA Euro 2013 campaign and he won’t necessarily have learned a great deal at Wycombe Wanderers’ Adams Park tonight. England hosted Romania with a strong starting line-up featuring some full internationals: Jack Butland, Jonjo Shelvey, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling and Wilfried Zaha have all been around the national team.
